   Анотація:
Here is a comprehensive, thorough and scholarly work in systematics. Former chairman of the faculty of the Wheaton College Graduate School, Dr. Thiessen was one of the foremost evangelical scholars in the land. His Lectures in Systematic Theology has been widely read among students of theology and used in many seminaries.
The Contents of this relatively new work in systematics consist of a Prolegomena and eight parts: Theism, Bibliology, Theology, Angelology (a unique contribution), Anthropology, Soteriology (123 pages), Ecclesiology, and Eschatology consisting of a completely orthodox Pre-millennial presentation in nine chapters. The scope of the work is further evident from the four Indices: the Index of Subjects occupies ten pages of well-set large type, the Index of Authors lists 328 names, a two-page Index of (ireek Words lists every Greek term used in the book. The Index of Scriptural References, a crowning feature and sure indication of the volume’s caliber, occupies thirty-eight pages — approximately 3,800 references to the Scriptures.
In scope, approach, style and general format, here is a volume that is outstanding in its field today. The material has been clearly presented by a teacher who understood well the problems of teaching this subject. It is an ideal textbook for class use, a lifelong reference aid to all serious students of the Bible.
