Included is previously unpublished case material on littleknown nonviolent struggles and fresh interpretations of some famous ones. There is a chapter that compares the May/|une 1968 civilian insurrection in France with insurrections in El Salvador and Guatemala that overthrew dictatorships by nonviolent means. The major distinction of this book, however, is that it is the first to consider specifically how the U. S. society can be remade without resort to self-defeating cataclysm, and how the strategy for nonviolent revolution in the U. S. relates to struggles in other countries —particularly to those in the Third World. Here is a handbook for the concerned citizen and a clear and concise statement of an increasingly important political point of view. It is ideal for all courses concerned with peace and conflict, with revolution, and with other forms of social, political, and environmental change. .Найменування теми як предметна рубрика: Theology Тип одиниці: Книги
