As such, Religion, Revolution, and the Future will be eagerly read by those who are somewhat weary of so-called “fads” in recent theology — the “death of God,” Christian atheism, religionless Christianity. Although Jurgen Moltmann’s theology-of-hope is radically open to encounter with the many dynamic currents in the contemporary secular world, it is just as radically rooted in Christ and his resurrection. For him, “Christianity is hope, forward looking and forward moving, and also revolutionizing the present.... It sees in the resurrection of Christ not the eternity of heaven, but the future of the very earth on which the cross stands. It sees in him the fu-ture of the very humanity for which he died.” Among the younger theological voices coming out of Europe, none is more stimulating than that of Jürgen Moltmann. A full professor at the prestigious University of Tübingen, Germany, he was Visiting Professor at Duke University from September 1967 to April 1968. He traveled widely to almost every major region and visited many of the academic and urban centers in America. This book comprises a portion of the lectures and essays with which Professor Moltmann introduced himself and his thought to the United States. .Найменування теми як предметна рубрика: Theology | Doctrinal - Christianity | Hermeneutics Тип одиниці:
