To know Jesus who is called Christ in the knowledge of faith is itself a requirement of faith. And the New Testament is not vague regarding Him. The biblical Christ is in a valid sense the historical Jesus; and the historical Jesus is the living and reigning Lord. It is in this assurance that Jesus—Human and Divine has been written: more particularly it has been written as a help to the general Christian student to come to a firmer understanding of the Saviour in whom his faith is reposed and his hope is centered. That which refuses the affirmation that Jesus Christ has come in flesh is not of authentic Christian faith; authentic Christian faith demands personal confession of Him as, "My Lord and my God." This book confirms for those who believe, that He is rightly acknowledged as both Human and Divine. And it challenges those who may read, not of faith, to face squarely the question of the ages, Who then is this Jesus which is called Christ?
