Often enough modern scholars are said that «the life of Jesus cannot be written’. Professor Stauffer believes that it can be. He draws much material from Jewish and Roma sources not always fully used in the study of the New Testament, and argues that this evidence connects with the four gospels at an astonishing number of points. He claims that it is now possible to trace the storу of Jesus month by month, for the crisis days hour by hour; frequently this leads to a new understanding оf the great teachings and acts. The result is a portrait, definite, dramatic and full of fascinating detail, оf a Jesus whose majesty is all the more tremendous when seen afresh against its original background.
