Every pro-nouncement made by Him on any subject can be located through Him; alphabetical and topical arrangement. References are i'rouped by subject with necessary subheadings and explanatory pliDises to insure finding a desired passage with minimum effort. As an added aid in special fields, five smaller indexes or tables Imve been included as an appendix. Although naturally nearly dll the references are to be found in the four Gospels, it was felt (hut in the case of the list entitled “Names and Titles in the Scriptures Given to Christ” references to passages in the Old Testament commonly accepted as pointing to the coming Messiah would be of value, along with those in other parts of the New Testament. Any attempt to classify Christ’s teachings necessarily involves some interpretation. Since there are many honest differences in understanding the words of Christ, it follows that a work of this kind should not depend upon the opinions of only one man or only one school of thought if it is to be of maximum value to all Christian students. The reader will find in this book many classifications suggesting various interpretations—some may even be contradictory. After all, the book is intended only as an aid in locating Biblical references pertaining to the ministry of our Lord. If it serves that purpose well, it will have fulfilled its mission. .Найменування теми як предметна рубрика: Jesus Christ - Life and teaching Тип одиниці:
