Increasingly confronted by the success of ministerial counselors and Christian counselors, secular psychologists and psychiatrists recognized that something - someone for the Christian counselor - was responsible for the radical reformation occurring in people’s lives. Likewise, Christian psychologists and counselors began to realize that secular theories of psychotherapy were not always at odds with biblically guided counseling; rather, after these approaches had been modified and integrated into the Christian counseling process, they proved to be of great service. This important work examines the biblical foundations of the Holy Spirit’s dynamic as “Comforter” in the counseling process. In practical terms, a personal strategy is offered for fruitful, Spirit-filled counseling. Finally, the relationship between secular theories and the dynamic of the Holy Spirit’s work in Christian counseling is articulated in a new way. Uniting practical experience with professional expertise, the contributors are well qualified, including theologians, practicing psychologists and educators. Written with the pastor in mind, The Holy Spirit & Counseling is a “must” addition to every pastor’s library. .Найменування теми як предметна рубрика: Пасторское душепопечительство Тематика: Counseling Тип одиниці:
