Each has seemed to live in its own self-contained world, in spite of the occasional complaint that New Testament scholarship is undermining the belief of the faithful. This has clearly been to the detriment of both, since Christian doctrine cannot subsist on outdated acquaintance with the New Testament and New Testament scholarship cannot be divorced from the life of the church. Here Principal Houlden seeks to relate the two areas by taking a series of soundings which begin from aspects of the New Testament and aim to discover the doctrinal implications of the topic investigated. In conclusion he shows how the approach adopted can be used throughout Christiaan theology. Those who have been helped by his Ethics and the New Testament will find this an important complement and successor..Найменування теми як предметна рубрика: Theology | Doctrinal, Faith Тип одиниці:
